Default Alright. Heres my final try on this one (I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP)-H22 swap Q's

I am TRYING to swap a JDM H22A1 into my 98 EK.

I am using a OBD1 P13 ECU, OBD1 H22. OBD2 wiring harness.

The motor, and harness are in my garage.

I need YOUR help on this. Please guys, if you know where ANY of these sensors go, please post when it goes on the motor. I did not mark any of the sensors because I was in a hurry to get the motors out.

I NEED some help really bad guys. Ive had this sitting in my garage for a week and my only car down for about three weeks. Its time to get my ride running.

I need wiring information. If a sensor needs to be wired, tell me what wire goes where (whether that be a pin on the ECU, ground, or another wire on the motor).

I have the distributor information, and the v-tec information.

Let me start off:

-Does this plug have any significance to the swap? It was pre-cut in my engine bay (before I took the D16 out)...Does anyone know if I will have to re-wire it? I can see where it goes, so if i have to re-do it its not that big of a problem, would just like to know if I have to.

-What are these plugs, and where do they go on the engine? I *suspected* that the one in the middle could be the VSS/reverse, but im probabally wrong, and I think you have to wire the reverse on this swap (info please?)

-Is this right? The other bolt is for a ground, correct? So I could just ground that bolt to the frame of the car?

-Any info on this puppy? Is the connector plugged into it correct, or do one or two of the wires have to branch off to the ECU?

-Info? What connector (what it looks like, color, etc. and wire colors going into the connector) plugs into this? (on back side of motor, close to intake manifold)

-Are these two "plugged" connetors needed? Is the extended wire (the bare wires in the picture, connected) right? Those wires were going to the connector that was plugged into the thing pictured two pictures ago.

-What connectors plug into these? I know the top one is for the v-tec, but which connector is for the v-tec?

-WTF is this?

-Info on these two?

-What connector plugs into this?

-What the hell is this? Just a ground, or what? (back side of block)

-MAF sensor goes where?

-Info?

-Info?

-The connectors on the left and the right (the two black connectors...the centers are blue)...The one hanging down fcrom my hand and the onw in my hand are the same.

-Info?

-Info?\

ANY info on any of these connectors is apopricieated. Thanks! If you know where alot of these go, and all the wiring i need to do, please AIM me ( MeSaids )

listen

All of your question could have been answered in the sticky, get a manual about your car and read alot about the H22 swap. Just going from what you said you dont know **** about the wiring/sensor aspect of it, and you should have before even attempting this swap. I can give all the right answers but I know it not going to be enough for you to really figure them out. We dont spoon feed info.

you need to read the h22 sticky carefully, thats the best advise I can give you.

This explains a lot of the wiring info.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/650329

I've answered what I can....

Looks like the distributor plug...

Yes that's right, but the other bolt is the power from the battery to run the starter. Stock one should just fit if you have an EG. Or at least mine did.

That's the EGR lift valve sensor, it needs to be wired in properly to the ECU, unless your car had EGR on it to begin with. Once is the green/white shared power wire for a lot of the sensors, and then one or both of the others goes to the ECU.

-Info? What connector (what it looks like, color, etc. and wire colors going into the connector) plugs into this? (on back side of motor, close to intake manifold)

The one with the load of yellow/black wires is used to distribute power from one of those wires to the rest of them. Easier than having 20 wires soldered to one.

-What connectors plug into these? I know the top one is for the v-tec, but which connector is for the v-tec?
The connector pointing down in the top right is the VTEC solenoid, and the green plug is the VTEC oil pressure sensor. The two pin tan plug is the ECT sensor for the computer, and the single ping is the ECT for the gauge.

-WTF is this?
Connects to distributor, not sure, coil maybe?

-Info on these two?
Well both three wire plugs in the same area, so probably VSS and TPS.

-What connector plugs into this?
That's the IAT sensor.

-What the hell is this? Just a ground, or what? (back side of block)
It's the oil pressure sensor.

-MAF sensor goes where?
MAP sensor, and it is bolted to the chassis with a vacuum line running from it to the intake manifold.

-Info?
Again the one on the left definately looks like the TPS, the other possibly VSS.
