Default P72 pinout (cooling fan) HELP

I canot find the pinout for the P72 with a picture so I know exactly which pin it is on the ecu and which plug goes there. I need to wire up my cooling fan I think its A12. This is a US P72 obd-1.

How do I know which row or pin A12 is?

it is pin A12. What do you mean by what plug goes there? You cooling fan grounds through the ECU and coolant switch. When the switch gets to 200 degrees, the switch closes and grounds the fan relay which powers the cooling fan.

cool thanks. Well I have 2 wires coming off the fan and I did a wire tuck and cant find the wires. 1 is a ground and the other is a blue wire, so the blue one goes to A12 and the other?

do not wire the fan direct to the ecu. You have to use the relay. ECU is not gonna handle that much current. The ECU controls the relay. The relay powers the fan. I wouldnt worry about wiring it to the ECU. I would run it through the coolant switch.

Sorry to confuse you. i just read my post. I said it grounds through the ecu. What i meant to say is that the ECU grounds the fan relay which activates the relay which sends power to the Cooling fan. I think it does this for backup. Not 100% sure. i do know that the coolant switch is on the same wire as the A12 from the ECU. The coolant switch grounds the relay which activates the relay which powers the cooling fan.

Hope this helps. You should try and get some diagrams. I'll see if i can post some. What car do you have? what wire harness is it on?
