b16a torque guide??
hey im replacing the head gasket in my b16a and im wonderin if anyone has the specs on what to torque to what... like a diagram or anything would be very usefull. any and all nuts and bolts needing torque involved in putting the head back on. thanks
headbolts - torque them down in 3 steps.
1st step-21 ft/lbs then back off 1/2 turn
2nd step-42 ft/lbs then back off 1/2 turn
final step-62 ft/lbs*
tighten the bolts in this sequence-----> 9 5 1 3 7
.................................................. ......8 4 2 6 10
cam caps - Torque the 10mm bolts to 8ft/lbs first then torque the 12mm bolts to 20 ft/lbs (torque slowly these bolts break easy)
Using this sequence-------> 9 5 1 3 7
........................................8 4 2 6 10
valve cover bolts/nuts -just take a a loose socket and tighten them by hand,its only about 7 ft/lbs (these bolts break very very easily)
im not sure the exact sequence but just start in the middle and work your way out like so-
7-----------------5
--------3 1--------
--------4 2--------
8-----------------6
