Looking for info on lsvtecs plz help
Hi guys,
I recently purchased an lsvtec(gsr head, b18a block) hatch and shortly after buying it a rod went through the block under simple daily driving
. Im currently looking to build a pretty decent motor for turbo now that im being forced into it, I figured while I had the engine disasembled i'd rebuild it (forged pistons, rods and sleeves). I hear both good and bad things about lsvtec's. Reliable? Strong? why is it better or worse then other motor swaps? pros and cons? im looking for faqs people, good hardcore evidence. I have a gsr block just lying around and I need to decide which one i want to build a turbo gsr or a turbo lsvtec? Any help will be greatly apreciated! Also do you guys know of any good shops that do work on hondas in Maryland?

ls/vtec is just as strong and reliable as a gsr...depending on the builder and the tuner. The only real difference is the rod to stroke ratio. The gsr has the ls beat on that by a little bit. That's no real big deal unless you plan on revving it up to like 10,000+
