Default running a turbo with no engine management?

will it hurt to run a turbo kit on stock everything (ecu, fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs) as long as i keep the rpms low so the car stays out of boost

i dont have anything as far as engine management but i wanna put this on so i can go next week or so and have it tunned

so will it hurt to just have the turbo kit sitting on there as long as i keep it outa boost?

is there anything i can do with my wastegate so i cant create boost just to be on the save side like take the spring out so it stays open?

sorry if any of these questions sound stupid but im new to the whole FI deal

tia

it might run like crap but you should be ok as long as you keep it out of boost just make sure you get it tuned asap

undo a charge pipe or take out the wastegate spring, so it will never see boost until your ready

I really dont like the idea of running with an open charge pipe all it takes is a little rock to get sucked up into there and your **** gets messed up...

I would wait as long as possible to install everything and only drive it to the tuner. JMO

Nah, you can do that. Exactly what I did with my car. Drove it like that and stayed out of boost for the first 1000 miles or so and then got it tuned. Compression is still perfect, and made some good power.

Pull the wastegate spring... if you run with an open charge pipe you can overspin the turbo.

Just make sure you don't boost and you'll be ok.
