Default Which Valve, Valve Springs, Retainers do you USE? Bad experiance with SUPERTECH.... long lasting 3

set-up

b18c
81.5mm cp piston
manley rods

b16a head
gsr cams unless i can get my hands on itrs
edelbrock IM

heres what im looking for. something that can take abuse for a long period of time. Rev to around 8500.

Issue

I am not a Super Tech fan. i have lost 2 heads when using supertech setup. N/A 180whp revving to 7,000 not even redline!! i realize no one else have had any trouble with them but me. its just hard to put them back into my car, with whats happened. it will be in my head

but for the price and no one else having trouble should i get them

SuperTech
Crower
REV
Skunk 2

Manleys are a little much for my liking 550 for spings retainers no valves is a little much for my setup and goals i think

what are you running and FOR HOW LONG and how much power

Thanks for reading all problems...

Well I'm a SuperTech fan, I using all SuperTech valvetrain on my B16 head. I've used it this past race season, shifting at 9000 rpm. So far, my car has made around 460whp on 18psi of boost.

I think for the price, it's hard to beat.

i use single springs from RLZ and stock retainers for most stuff not going over 20psi or 9500 rpms.

I'm using the Skunk2 valves/springs/retainers. So far they have lasted 45,000+ miles, 3 years, 375whp, 16psi, tuned to 9200 but shift at 8400-8600rpm. Soon adding more boost and power, but I'm not worried about them at all.

SUPERTECH FTW! You've lost 2 head? Are you sure you are installing everything right? I rev to 9200rpm like its going out of style.

using omni valvetrain here on new built motor, 3k+miles @400hp. bouncing off the 8.5k rpm all the time.
