did the H23 have more torque than an H22?? just thought the torque level was about the same??? if so, no point right?
there is a very good point to doing a 2.3L DOHC VTEC engine...

2.3 SI bottom end
2.2 VTEC head
Prelude Type S Pistons.
Everything else stock.
Stock headers, stock intake, stock exhaust
stock cam gears, stock fuel system
In other words, totally stock except S pistons.

normally there's more than a 15% drivetrain loss... a safe bet is 17% IMO.
and yes, it obviously makes more power than a stock H22
when you put a car on a dyno, it puts out less power to the wheels than the "crank" hp
this difference is called drivetrain loss...a very low drivetrain loss is 15% for a manual transmission car...which is what I use to figure out the crank hp from a dyno chart. But like said 17 or 18 is more normal, which puts the crank hp even higher than what I stated
