There will shortly be a flood of people here telling you that it's completely useless in every way, shape, and form, and that you should swap or boost if you want any power. Either that or maybe you'll get lucky and the ******** will ignore this post altogether.
Yeah, it's fine. A short ram air intake will improove your throttle response. Plus, contrary to popular belief, it does add 1 or 2 hp. If you've driven enough D-series like I have, all being stock, and before and after installing a short ram air intake, you'll notice a difference in both the throttle response, as well as overall power. I mean it won't throw you back in your seat, but you'll know about it if you can feel it good.
And for those of you who come and are about to say it: No, it's not psychological because I know I have it installed therefore am expecting more pwoer. You throw two cars exactly the same stock, one w/ a short ram CAI and the other w/ stock intake arm I'll pick the CAI one out...
There's a definite differen ce you can feal, but it's not much.
My advice after saying it's good, buy it? No.
Buy an e-bay one for like 25 bucks (or pick up one used from somebody else) - the intake arm doesn't mean ****, as long as it fits. Then buy a K&N filter (or AEM) and put that on - you'll be ready to roll. because if you buy the whole thing from AEM, chances are it'll be overpriced due to the name. The piping doesn't mean ****, it's all the same, ebay, AEM, Injen, all the same, it's where the filter comes in that it matters, just make sure you have yourself a good filter and you'll be
.
Good Luck.

Well if your tapped on cash, I wouldn't waste my money. Buy a K and N drop in filter. Same result and you wont get harrased by the cops/chp/fbi/environmentalist.
