What do you think? My "Plan"
Ok, so here is my plan for my next stereo system for my next car (whenever it might come....). Lets say I get a 2001 GSR/ 2000 Type R/ 2002 RSX-S (same speaker specs cept the RSX-S has the Richbass Woofer crap).
Stage One:
Kenwood x728 MP3/CD Player or Pio 9400/8400
MTX 4202 Amp to a 12" sub TBD (Alpine Type R is what I was thinking)
Stage Two:
Diamond Audio M6 6" Components (Front)
MB Quart PKC 116 (Rear)
Autotek Stealth 900.4 Amp to run the Diamond Audios and the sub (bridge the remaining two channels for sub)
Move MTX 4202 amp to run the MB Quart PKC116's.
1 farad cap
What do yall think? Comments and suggestions welcome.

I don't like the plan...sorry.
I would skip getting rear speakers all together...keep the stockers, and run them from the headunit if you really want rears....personally, I hate rear speakers.
Also, if you REALLY are set on getting rears, don't get two different brands...the two sets will have different "signatures" and will make it sound like you have two stereos playing, rather than one.
If it was me, I would get one good 4 channel now (something like a 75 x 4) then use two channels for the sub now, and when you get the money, add the front components.

Well, I am a fan of having music surround me and not having a front dominated system. I try to listen to my current setup (with no main speakers hooked up to an amp, just one sub hooked up to an amp) with Front Image Enhancement on and I just can't handle it. I need to feel like the music is all around which is why I want to amp my rears. But I see what you are saying about the the different brands. Lets say I run that autotek 900.4 to 4 diamond audio m6 6" components and keep the mtx 4202 running to the sub. You think that will accomplish what I am after?
