finished my swap, 3 codes
CAR: 1992 VX
MOTOR: JDM D15B Vtec
codes thrown:
14 IACV
20 ELD (Electric Load Detector)
22 Vtec Oil Pressure Switch
what i need:
CODE 14:
-is it possible that the valve is simply clogged? how do i fix this?
CODE 20:
-what the hell is this? how do i fix this?
CODE 22:
-i dont have an oil pressure switch
there is a way to disable it completely, but i forget how...
thanks,
SRH

Code 14:
Take off your IACV, and spray the expletive out of it with carb/brake cleaner.
Code 20:
Unbolt your underhood fuse box, and make sure the ELD conector (brown) is making good contact. Mabe clean with some break clean and put on some dielectric grease.
Code 22:
Yes you do have a VTEC Oil Pressure Switch. It's your solenoid. Clean out the screen.

Just a good thing to know:
Code 20's are hardly EVER caused by an acutal faulty ELD. It's generally a secondary symptom. Alternator, poor/no connection to ECU, etc.

maybe you don't understand....i have a BOLT where the pressure switch goes
but i'll check those thigns out, thanks!

LOL, well that's why. Your ECU isn't getting a pressure switch signal, so it throws a low voltage code. You kind of fuckered yourself there.

the motor came like that...i heard there was a way to disable it altogether by jumping it to another wire that gives the voltage the OPS would have...

Why don't you just buy a new pressure switch? I imagine it's not good for the motor to bypass a switch that controls which stage your cam profile is in.

code 14 is a goner....
code 20 is what im trying to figure out, ALL grounds are tight, alt is tight, starter is tight, battery connections are tight and clean....
code 22: well i need to stop being a cheap-*** and buy a VOPS

UPDATE!!
i stole the oil pressure switch off a VX motor i had laying around, tomorrow morning, i will see if that will resolve my CEL altogether. (if not, i'm still at a loss for code 20)
