I idle at about 1400 rpms and if im driving and i press in the clutch it'll drop down to 1000 then jump up to 2000 then bounce around for a minute and then stop at around 1400. The engine is a d16y8 and if checked my vaccum lines and couldnt find any loose. Help Please.

check and see if your F.I.T. (Fast Idle Thermal) valve is loose inside. It is under the throttle body. take off the sheet metal end and use a flat head screw driver to turn in the white plastic peice. get it as tight as you can, then put the cap back on and start it up.

 

another option would be to check your throttle cable maybe its pinched or not freely moving.. also try cleaning out your throttle body might be "gunked up".

 

that happened to me before and it was the throttlebody it would get stuck right before it would close i cleaned it out and adjusted the cable and it went away
