Yeah.. I got 1800 for the EXACT same thing. An OEM tailgate will quote around 500 dollars. Good luck and I hope they dont decide to total it.

The bumper is fine. The same thing happen to me. the dent will just pop out if you push on it from the other side.

you might need to get the rear body pulled out some, its probably pushed in a little since you have no gap to the quarter panel.
