Brainstorm ideas as to why I wont start....
Okay, I'll make this easiest for you to think of. I'll lay down some details, and you make your judgement from there
1. No spark. I did the Distributor test thing, and the black power wire checks out with a fine voltage, but, the other Green wire thats supposed to have voltage with the ignition on does not have ANY voltage.
2. No fuel. There WAS fuel, i know, it sprayed everywhere, i forgot to hook up the banjo bolt from the line. Then the fuel stopped. The pump wouldnt prime.
3. Low current draw on start. Starter pulls about 5-6 volts when turning over.
Troubleshooting:
1. For the spark I immediately thought of a distributor. I quickly replaced the parts inside of it, and still nothing. I tried other parts from other distributors still nothing. I ordered a new dizzy, and nothing.
2. I came across the idea of my main relay for the problem of no spark and no fuel. So, I pulled it. It didnt look too good. Luckily my friend is good at soldering ECU's, so, I had him re-solder it. I put it in, and the fuel pump primed and my fuel pressure gauge on my fuel rail showed pressure. Tried starting it, and nothing. It still had the low pull of volts from the starter, and no spark.
3. My friend had tried wiring up an AVC-R for when we finally turbo it. I thought he might of majorly fucked up. I thought this because the AVC-R would never turn on. When we first tried to turn it on, none of the engine harness was in. He thought maybe it didnt work because of that. We put the engine harness in, and it still didnt work. I went and cut all the wires that led to the AVC-R just so I could rule that out as a possible problem. Although, I DO know the AVC-R works, I hooked it up to a 9v battery and it worked fine.
I tried starting it again, and, once again, i get no fuel pump prime. I've got a new main relay coming in the mail tomorrow, but I wanted to give it some more shots tonight.
Now, originally, when we were hooking it up all back togeather, one of the guys put the wire thats supposed to come from the fuse box to the engine harness; he put it onto the starter as a "ground" as he thought. then we continued to ground the fuse box to the chassis, then touch a power to the other plug of the fuse box. now, of corse this arche'd all over. but, i held it on there, then we tried starting it.. bad idea, i know.
The starter and battery both tested good, so I know those arent the problems.
What would you check for next on this car?

Are you sure your starter isn't messed up? Seems like its trying to use way to much power. Is that a 4th or 5th gen? You CEL blinks different than my 92 Lude thats why I ask. Also Have you tried a jumper pack or jump start?
haha. wow. I cant believe I forgot the basics of the car, but all the other detail..
its a 96si chassis, and a 92 jdm h22a. stock except for nology hotwires, aem fuel rail, aem pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, and a walbro 255 fuel pump..
i got my new relay in the mail today. now, everytime i try to turn it over, the fuel ALWAYS primes (like it should) and i show about 30psi in the fuel rail, but when I try to turn it over it still starts kinda slow and from what i can tell, still no spark. (although I did not yank a plug to check)
So, on that video, was that a code? I do have the jumper phone line looking thing currently jumped with a paperclip.
I also used jumpercables from one car to another while the other was on, and revving up to about 4k rpm.. it was a faster "try" of a start, but still nothing.

is the dizzy itself not getting power? i will stop by in my car when i get back
i think its that damn green wire. download the 96 prelude manual, and go to the wiring diagrams, and figure out where that wire goes to. that is how i found my headlight problem.......
good luck dOOd, i think we are in a competition of who is going to be running first LOLZZZ

I've done that, problem is, the service manual is for external coil distribution. Im all internal coil. The wires dont trace to the same place..
I thought that's code 61. Six long, 1 short.
You are not supposed to try to start the car with the service plug jumped like that either.
You should not have went out and bought a new distributor without confirming it is bad.
Why aren't you using the external coil distributor off of your H23?
Anyway, from what you said, I gather you are using the JDM distributor with the internal coil, correct? If so, are you using the complete JDM engine harness or did you make the necessary modifications to use the USDM engine harness with the internal coil distributor?
I think the first thing you need to do is pull out a spark plug and make sure you are getting spark.

based on the video it is definantly a power supply issue. The engine is barely kicking over, and the way everything is "turning off" or dimming down. I'd re-check all your grounds, and trace the voltage back down the power lines. See what type of voltage you're getting across the battery when you're cranking. See if it's higher than what you're reading at the starter. If you're getting 6v's at the starter, and your battery is still sitting at around 12.x then I'd have to point blame to bad or dirty grounds, or a power connection that isn't good.
my car has always been h22.. i didnt do a swap or anything.. we took it out running, thats why i cant figure out why it wont start now..
the harness is good to go, as well as the parts i can think of. Im sure theres no spark, theres no spark on the plug and theres no voltage on the green wire going to the ICM. Its the internal coil jdm one.

okay, theres something I see that might be a problem.. under the injector resistor box on the driver side right by the "cowl" or whatever (where the wipers are) there is a relay. its got the rubber housing over it, and looks like it should be attached to the firewall.. well it was just sitting there..
i pulled off the rubber to find that the relay inside was horrible looking. there is black stuff all over it, and all the holes look like their stuffed with ear wax.. its pretty disgusting.
im trying to search the manual to as what relay this is, but it goes right through the firewall, to what im guessing is the inside fuse box..
can anyone identify this?

okay, checking it out it looks like its the wiper repay.. which, would explain why my wipers dont work (seeing as its disgusting looking, and possibly burnt)
