if your gonna buy wires; buy the stock...I hardly ever change wires in our
delarship at Honda, but I do notice more aftermarket wires breaking... not sure
about the more expensive ones though. Replace old plugs with stock also. I sometimes see engine code misfire with other brands other than Japanese plugs.

NGK = OEM Honda replacement brand.
And NGK wires are sexy blue.

Got my NGK parts at http://www.sparkplugs.com

I'm comming up on 100 ,000 miles myself and going to be doing plugs, wires, timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, leakdown, etc.
Question on the NGK wires.

Realized Link doesn't work
Here is what I am refering too

Are the NGK Ultimate / Racing wires really that much better to pay $60 more? than the Premium set? I am using all stock internals with mostly bolt on's. I was reading and it sounds like the Ultimate ones are good, but how much better can they be than the Premium ones?

the power cables in the ultimate class is the JDM darker blue cables with no individual grounds.
they are similar if not the same as the first generation "Spoon" wires. There was an independent test done that show that this was the best performing wire set a few years ago FWIW.

I know a bunch of people personally (as in they will let me drive their cars
) who continue or have used the power cables with "success."
I firmly believe that parts like this *can* give measureable power gains, but whether you can actually detect that is another issue.
What they do give is better and smoother (here we go again) throttle response. How can you measure that though? I personally have kept using the Spoon wires with grounding because they have proven to [to me] smoothen out the powerband and eliminate this slight stumble, despite being on the stock ecu, new plugs, cap/rotor, valve adjustment, fuel pressure etc.etc. in check. Just changing the wires alone helped FWIW.
On the other hand, what quality wires like the power cables will give you is a good secure fit. Unlike some of the **** (possibly older - uncertain with current generation) from Nology and MSD. Where the MSDs had to be zip tied to the cap...and the Nology's just "sat" feeling very unsecure on top of the plug.
Both of those plugwires (again, this was at LEAST 4yrs ago) caused ignition problems when they obviously were victims of poor design and engineering. What GOOD is the actual wire/cable if they don't stay in place??
Nothing fits like OEM and the NGK powercables, they literally click in place. Not even the grounded Spoon cables feel like OEM.
