Has anyone performed an engine swap on an 1986 Honda prelude? I have one sitting at my house, its carburated and the engine runs well but the tranny is shot. It has been sitting there for 2 years being started periodically. I wanna use it as a project car. What are the parts need to do an engine swap on this car besides the engine, tranny, axles, etc. and where can i get them? Do the parts need to be fabricated or are there companys that already sell the engine mounts, axles, etc for this kind of swap? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Alright thanks! i was wanting to do a b18 swap in it considering i have a boosted gsr i really like the motor. I wanted even put a b18b in it then boost it
are you just trying to pull the motor? well thats a ront wheel drive car so its a transaxle. So what u have to do is if its an F motor there should be 4 motor mounts on each side and 1 or two tranny mounts, suppot the engine with a engine crane, un bolt the motor mounts, disconnect the harness up by the firewall, pop out the cv shafta witch is the worste paet also known as the driveshafts on a front wheel drive and it should pop right out, obviously u have to disconnect the hoses like the radiator hoses and the fuel lines and all that

never got a chance to get it done. But would love to still do it. I searched youtube.com and found a video of an 86 with a gsr motor in it. I messaged him about and it hopefully get a reply about it. If all i needed was mounts that would be awesome. i would love to swap a ls motor into the one that is just sitting at my parents house.
