well quick way to tell if the motor is good or not is
to just run a power and ground jumper to the connector. the t-stat is a pretty quick job also.
just start with the easiest thing to test

put key on ignition position, Grab theh thermostat switch and Short the wires, if the fan doesn't turn on, its your fan or fuse.

ok...easy to check the fan motor unplug it and stick a wire on each prong and put them on the battery terminals...if it turns on its fine...the other could be the relay...follow the wires from the plg to the replay, follow the manuals directions on how to tes the relay...then finally the sensor for the fan...OBD0 motors it on the back of the block kinda of near the oil filter and on OBD1+ motors its on the thermostat housing...make sure the plug is connected and the wires look ok...its a very simple system it works on its own without the ECU being involved so its any of the following:

Bad Fan Motor
Bad Relay
Bad Sensor
Bad Wiring
