Default Stupid Q about jackstands

I got me a pair of jackstands.

Now, how do I get them in the jacking point (thick metal piece) of an Integra since it is only like 2" long, if that is where the jack will be to raise the car?

TIA

you can use the front tow hooks tp jack up the car. There's also a spot under the radiator supportthat you can lift the the entire front end off the ground.

u can use your floor jack to jack up the rear using the rear tow hook.. for the front there is a jacking point kinda off center.. you jack it up from those points.. and place the jack stands on the jacking points...

When I can't use my floorjack I use the scissor jack on the jack points and place the stands under the subframe where the LCA's attach to the car. This is probably not a good idea, however, for installing a rear sway bar since you will be working and drilling in that are.

So it's okay to put the jackstands there, on the lca's?
I am not sure what you meant above. TIA.

i dont really trust the towhooks on the front of the car.. i'd only use the radiator support.. (its a square with a hole in the center.. if your car is lowered i'm sure its all scraped up and rusted).. for the rear jack up the car with the towhook.. you'll have to use a floor jack(wieghs like 85lbs has a handle you have to pump..) to raise the front/rear of the vehicle before you can secure the jackstands. the lil jack that came with the car will only raise your car but a few inches off the floor.. i'm sure one of your nice neighboors or friend's dad will let you borrow thier floor jack if you dont already have your own..

jackstands should be placed on the metal piece that sticks out(under side skirt) just behind the front wheel or in front of the rear wheels.. there are 4 of these metal thingies.. and they hang about 1.5" out from the bottom of the car. (if you run your hand along the bottom of the side skirt you should be able to find them easily. this is the safest place to put them.
