I just installed the zex 105300 cam in my rebuilt d16y8. Tuned it on the dyno with an adjustable cam gear, and found it to be yielding the most power with it advanced 4 degrees. I'm v. happy with the results, gained about 13 whp and car pulls very nicely.. only trouble is...

I cant drive below 3200 rpm without it stuttering and missing :S..whats this about? i was talking to this guy about it and he said 'let it be, probably just valve overlap'..but i dont know..city driving is messed up..the second the rpm needle goes above 3200 i literally feel a kick and everythings smooth and fast from there onwards..but every gear upto 3200 its missing...i simply cant drive it like this, its very uncomfortable.

Have you tried less advance?Youll loose top end power but it might just fix this

 

sounds like they only tuned full throttle and not partial throttle at all.
