Hey, I just got the Zex Camshaft and AEM Cam Gear for my car, D16Z6 i think is my engine code. Whatever, its a 95 Civic EX....so I'm gonna have the Zex Cam installed, but I was wondering what should the Cam Gear be set at? I mean I heard its good to retard the timing a couple degrees. I have all the mods listed below...and I plan on getting a VAFC and a 50-75 shot of nitrous. Any suggetions?

you Have to Dyno tune those.

check with Mista bone...i belive he used to run the Zex cam with 75 shot...

exactly. one of the few things you can't just do yourself. if you don't dyno tune them, you may end up losing power. it's happened before.

And the cam alone seems to be pretty good, so I guess i'll just leave the Camgear at zero until i can dyno it.

So far I've only used the stock cam retarded 3 degrees with the 75 shot.
The ZEX street/strip cam + springs will be my XMAS present to myself.

12's juiced SOHC will be easy now.

all engines are different.you have to dyno the cam gear and play with it a little to see what works best so you don't lose horses
