cel but no code, 5th gen p72

My cel is solid and i was trying to see what codes it was throwing. I jumped the wire, turned car to ON and nothing happened. Only thing i noticed is the beeping that comes on for a few secs when u turn the key goes solid after a few seconds of beeping. This is on a 97 prelude on boost with a p72.
I've never done this before so it wouldnt surprise me if i was doing something wrong.

prelude ecu's dont work with boost, unless i'm using a missing link which im not.
