Default Do you need to change the fuse when wiring to JDM foglights for DC2?

I finally took the risk and tried wiring the high beams on my continuing project for my DC2. So now my low beam and high beams work.

But now I want to wire the fog lights and did some reading. I want the fog lights to be on when I turn on the low beams...but I read that if I do this, I'd have to swap out a fuse to a 30 amp fuse.

My question is which fuse?? I found the 2 different location for the fuse. One at next to the battery near the firewall and one under the steering wheel area. Where do I have to swap out the fuse at? WHen I bought the car it didn't come with the owners manuel so I don't know where to replace the light fuse for this. Please help.

A little more info on my car is it's a 94 RS with a conversion to a SIR-G headlights.

I would not wire them to come on with the low beams. I used the USDM fog light wiring harness since car had the OEM fogs when the US front was on the car. I then used the USDM switch to control the fog lights. When the car was completely gutted, I wired the relay signal to the cig lighter +12v (did not power the fogs from this, just kicked off the relay) and the fogs were basically daytime running lights at this point. Good luck, but I wouldn't wire them to my low beams.

If you want to wire them to come on with the low beams, you only use the lowbeam +12v to power the relay for the fogs (which should have its own fuse).

Now for the fog wire harness. Can you direct me to a place to get one, thanks. I already planned out where I can put the switch so it'll be easy to access and non-obscure

Good luck with the wiring harness. Your going to be looking for a while to find one. I would just wire the relay to the battery, switch and have the parking lights turn the relay on.

If your going to wire them directly to the low beams then at least fit a switch (simple ground switch) on them so that you can switch them on/off when you want. I cant even remember the last time i had mine on, maybe 18months ago, i never use them!

I just went down to pep boys and bought a cheap pilot fog light wiring kit. 10 min install, fog light when ever you want them on.
