gsr rebuild
im rebuilding my gsr motor and i am working on my block. i was wondering what should be done when rebuilding a motor. a friend of mine said that i should hone, deck and bore out my block but im not sure of what they all are and what they do. i really dont want to do anything extreme, i really just wanna get this thing running. any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

You have to hone if you want the rings to seat.

i just had my gsr rebuild.... now is this motor u just brought or its ur original engine? if u \got it from someone then i would go head and bored and hone it as u dontknow how teh engine condition are.... i got mine bored .5mm reason why bcuz my ring were bad and i was smoking everytime i floored......also get teh head clean and deck, clean teh valves and cut if have to .....
main thing ti replace is teh piston, rings, bearing(both main and rod bearings) mico. polish teh crank.
if u want to go deeper in performance then port and polish teh head, valves, valves springs and retainer, replace rod and piston with performance brand, and head studs
i just got mine clean up and i;m using nippon piston. any question.. feel free to ask.... others will might tell u more detail on rebuilding.. your machine shop will tell you his exact opinion what need to be done.. or recomended
mine is running better then what is use to be....
