Default Does Having No Horn Effect The Cruise Control?

my car has no horn at all when u pop off the cap there is nothing there. I've searched and checked the switches behind the pedals and they seem to be fine. The fuses are fine. and i thought i read somewhere along time ago about someones cruise not working till they fixed their horn? The light comes on for the cruise but will not engage... any ideas???

Do you have a airbag and if so is your SRS light on. When some punks try to steal my DC2, they damaged the spool for the driver side airbag. what sucks is that the horn, the cruise control and the air bag is all connected to that little spool.

check the honda eletrical troubleshooting manual for your car and see if the horn and the cruise control run on the same circuit. that will help to tell if they are connected.

I checked on hondas website for technicians that we use at the delaership, i dont have access to acuras.....but for a 92 civic m/t with cruise which is probably close to the same or exact as the integra circuit. The horn is on the same circuit as the cruise control. the horn relay is before the cruise control switch and cruise control unit in the circuit. it is likely the two are connected. it starts through the underhood fuse box through fuse 42, then splits off to the horn relay and the brake switch, from the horn relay portion it goes to the cable reel and then through the steering wheel and your cruise control switches backl out of the cable reel and to the cruise control unit. sorry if this is confusing. i dont want to post a picture form isis and get in trouble. i would probably test the horn relay first. hope this helps a little. Remeber kids, always use the Honda ETM and not that chilton bull ****!

do you have a horn plugged in? if not i would put one in first and then if it still doesnt work then try testing the horn relay.

if theres nothing there the only way to get those parts back into the wheel would be to buy a new wheel, or at least the easiest. im starting to get lost thoughout this thread though.

for some reason i think it has something to do with the fact that I have no horn at all. Because I read one thread along long time ago and im sure someone fixed their cruise once they put a horn in but i can find the thread. So I might just look into getting a horn put in and see if that will work.

i def have a horn, b ut the person before me put in a crappy aftermarket security system and i think they f---ed all that up. btw why dont you just skip the horn and run straught wires, with a fuse instead of wires, its prolly cheaper.

yeah im pretty sure this one had a alarm before to because I cant really lock my self in the car. When im getting out and hit the power locks it locks the pass door but not mine. But if u get out on pass side and hit the button it will lock both. And I think i read somewhere if having an alarm does that.

So what do u mean run straight wires? Just get the cruise hooked up into a spare fuse spot?
