f22b motor swap questions about knock sensor
I swaped an f22b jdm with a h23a1. i got a check engine for a knock sensor. i was told to use the same sensor off the h23 but when i go to put it in the sensors threads are to big and wont fit. it seems that oil will leak if that hold is left unplugged does anyone have any knowledge of this?
all holes for knock sensors are blind, i don't even know if the f22b comes with a knock sensor. all honda knock sensors have the same thread, just a different plug. i think you unscrewed the oil sensor.
if your f22b block doesn't have a spot for the knock, get a nut from home depot with the right thread and weld it onto the back of the block there should be a cast iron coolant port plug, either that or weld it to the altornator bracket

im not saying it will acurately detect knock but the ecu will see enought knock voltage to know there is actually a sensor wired in and not throw a code
