Default snow and salt

Anyone else planning on taking their SI off the road for winter? I am currently looking for some kind of winter beater (2500-3000 range) It sucks that this needs to be done since the car is so much fun to drive but I don't want it to see salt and stupid people who cannot drive in the snow.

Uh not me i live in NY the winter out here dosent get 2 bad ya the snow n salt combined suck's. I will wax it to protect it for the winter then prob wash the crap off of it every few days. I will have it covered at night and when i am not using it which will be never so snow wont even hit it for the most part. I am still running the stock all-seasons which i think should hold up just fine in medium level snow by the way i have NHBP so ya everything shows good luck with yours.

I'm really worried about it.. I don't have money to buy another car and pay like $100 (insurance).. I don't have a garage.. or something like that to store my little car
I want to take my rims off (I have perf. tires), but I don't know where to get rims from :D

I don't know if I am going to be able to garage mine, my dad has 4 cars he has to store for the winter. So I might be stuck outside, with a cover on. At least that way it won't see salt. We don't get a ton of snow, but we get a lot of sleet type stuff and they salt the roads heavily. Salt=rust. I have to look into insurance still, because I don't need full coverage if I am not driving it... but I need some kind of storage because you don't know whats gonna happen.

Well mine will be garage kept every night. I will drive it as long as there is no snow on the road. When there is snow...out comes the RX330. I have a car cover if anyone is interested. Check out the for sale thread.

I'll keep mine locked up in the garage during harsh winter days... they dont use salt here but a chemical that is nasty for paint and probably corrosive too.

06 ridgeline parts truck FTW!

If it is financed they probably require comprehensive.

Hahahah yeah, we're almost as bad here. Cept we occasionally get ice. They usually only salt the bridges here if they do anything. Ah well, cars dont live forever.

Luckily in Denver, it snows one day, and then it's 70° the next day, and it all melts. But I still bought an EG for the winter/project.

Garage is filled with a 69 camaro and my gixxer. I think they both pull rank over the civic.

Probrably gonna wax it good and wash it as much as necessary. As for SI owners and taking off your rims, why don't you just get a set of the DX/LX steelies and plop them bad boys on... Same offset right? Just imagine, an SI with steelies.

I picked up a 95 integra. So I am set for winter. Most people around here put away their cars... theres a kid with a 92 integra that the body is not the greatest and he puts it away. Its normal.
