or is it something worse.....

well i was driving my car last night and i noticed it was a little hard to put it in third gear a few times. thought nothing of it then this morning when i took my car out for a spin i noticed that ever gear was smooth just like normal. but if i brought the car into vtec in second gear it would like not let me into third. and when i put it in fourth it would like be stiff. is my tranny fucked? or do i need a new clutch? did i bend something? any help would be appriciated. this may sound cliche but i really never beat on this car and i rarely drive it. thats what pisses me off

I was just having a problem kinda like this only i couldnt get my car in anygear at all, my pressure plate broke and a spring poped out of my clutch disc so i wouldnt rule your clutch out. no matter what the problem is theres a good chance you will have to drop your tranny

 

my car would drive fine when i first start it and drive but after a few miles it would start to get hard to put it in gear. Then it would get to the point where if i came to a complete stop at a light and then try and put it in gear it wouldn't go into any gear. I had to turn the car off, put it in gear and then start it back up. then it would drive fine for the rest of the day. it did that everyday. i changed my clutch and now it works perfect. your clutch could be the reason.

 

Sounds your clutch blew a spring or your hydraulic system is leaking somewhere. Start with the cheap fixes first. FIrst of all, is the M/C reservoir low on fluid? Check the slave cylinder for leaks by leaving a piece of cardboard under the tranny overnight. Also check the M/C for leaks, should be pretty easy to spot.
