I am purchasing a set of HX wheels for temp use until I get me some Rota C8's or C10's.
My question is will they fit perfect w/ spacers and or a lil grinding of my caliper.
Because, I test fitted one wheel and it rubbed a bit. But, I'm determined to get these to work. B/c for the time being tese look way better than my stock LS swirlies.

dont go grinding on your calipers, thats a bad idea for sure, spacers are actually a bad idea too because with the wheel sitting away from the hub all of the weight and torque will then be applied to the lugs. just get yourself some different wheels

why even risk it? and if you're eventually going to get the rotas, why even bother wasting the money?

how much of the caliper would have to be shaved off. if it wasn't much i don't see why it would hurt anything.

It's not a big deal to grind down the caliper. You have to grind down about .20 in order to get the wheels to fit without rubbing. I've been running ground calipers and HX's for the last 15,000 miles with no problems.

well i actually like these. and, next wheel purchase will be in the spring or summer. so, i will go ahead n get them. i just want the outside to look ok. being that im only doin engine mods for a while.
Don't let them hold you back from getting the wheels. They are lightweight, look great, and are cheap. I found a DIY article on how to fit HX wheels on a DA integra but now I can't find it. If you look around g2ic.com you can probably find it. Good luck.

There really isn't anything to it. Get a really powerful grinder, and grind on the outside of the caliper until you can put the wheel on there and spin it without rubbing. Make sure to round the edges off a little more to fit the shape of the wheel. You need to get a real grinder though, a dremel will take way too long.

Grinding your calipers is not that bad.

Would these rims fit without modification to a DC2. I was planning to run at the track with them on, becuase one of my boys has them. but didn't know that there might be some clearance problems.

You are being ridiculous. Somebody asked me today "when are you gonna put 18s on" i told him im gonna put 14's on... that shut him up.
But seriously smaller wheels are better for perfomance, you have less unsprung mass which helps you acclerate and decelerate faster. Big wheels are hideous.

i just saw that my right rear tire is developing a bulge so I will be getting the HX wheels. About the same price as a new set of tires. In 14's.
So, I guess I'll spend the 140 bucks on the HX wheels.
