Brakes rattling
First off I would like to say hello to everyone at HT, and that I am fairly new to HT. I have a 95 LS, and since buying it a little over a year ago, I have had this problem with my brakes. Every time I hit a bump or ride over rough pavement, my brakes rattle, and when I apply my brake pedal while driving the noise will stop. It seems to be just my L/R brakes, in which I also have an ABS code 48 which means bad sensor in the L/R. I am just curious and would like input if this has been a problem for anybody else in the past. Thanks!
i have this same problem with my rear brake pads. thought it was because i was using crap brake pads so i bought OEM honda pads. the rattling stopped but after awhile it slowly came back..
i just don't understand why the pads have so much room in there to bounce around like that..

the pads should have come with some anti rattle clips. They go on the ends of the pads inside the caliper to keep the pads tight against the walls of the calipers, therefore ending the rattle.
They are #14 in the example below:

Thanks for the detailed pic. I guess I will try replacing them, and see if it stops. I've already tried new pads, so it must be the anti rattling clips.
It is when those pads move around in the caliper that you get the rattle. The rattle is the pads having freeplay in the caliper. The rattle clips are your BEST bet.
http://www.acuraoemparts.com, or you can get them from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com if you know how to interchange.
Since it is an LS 'Teg, I THINK you may be able to cross reference it to a Civic of the similar year.
