Default I searched... quick header question. -Mythias no where to be found

Looking at the kamkaze headers. Should I purchase from Endyn or straight from Kamikaze? They seem to have the same one. Where's Brad when you need him? Why are there different spellings for kamikaze (i)?

What are the advantages of different finishes? Black, nickel or high luster ceramic.

EDIT

This is on a SC setup!

Is the SMSP an option? Best for the (alot of it) money. I know not many people can afford about a $1300 header, but it is the best from what I have seen and read.

I'd imagine the OP is looking at the Kami header because his R is supercharged. Personally I would go with a ceramic finish since it'll help with underhood temps.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.

A shorty header would work fine. Have not heard about the Kamikaze's though. They do make one for my car though, so I would like to know myself.

Right... supercharged.

I forgot to mention that. There is little difference in price so then the high Luster ceramic FTW?

Here's the header I currently have.

My concern is that the collector on the cat I have is only like 2"

I'd suggest the kamikaze for boosted applications!

It's cheap, but high $ headers don't really have a better design for blowers... well not enough to justify the price difference.

Go with the coating you prefer. Since it's a cheap header, we went with black... you can always wrap it to keep the heat in and away from important parts under hood.

Talk to Brad before you make your decision. I'd say the Kami is what you need to go with. I had talked to him a while back about JRSC applications and he said hands down that's the header to go with. As for the black, nickel and whatever... not really sure.

That's my thought... so just order it via Kamikaze. -Not the endyn peeps.

Would it be better to order the ceramic (top of the line model) or the lowest quality one and wrap it? Meaning what would actually PERFORM better?

He's pretty busy... was hoping someone here besides Brad had some sort of idea. Apparently Brad is the only one that knows about said things.

He is in one of two places... 1) drunk on grey goose and passed out on the couch 2) drunk on grey goose and passed out naked in his ack.

So the question is: How to make a kamikazi header with 2 1/2 collector fit onto my cat that is only 2". Test pipe FTW ? Wonder how the state inspector would like that setup?

BTW... I was looking at my crank today. I have no idea as to what I'm doing, but it's fun. I even bought an impact wrench. WOT with teh wrench .

The difference between the kamikze and the endyn "modified" kamikaze is minimal. Endyn does not actually modify the header, rather kamikaze builds them to the endyn specifications.

The ceramic coat is good to thwart rust. It is not stainless steel. Additionally, wrapping it would be good to reduce heat soak into the engine bay.

Yes, I am very busy between school and the launching of my company, but I am not always drunk.. anymore. I hate to say it, but I no longer have time to be professionally drunk. It is a sad day indeed.

Go with a carsound cat or a suitable testpipe, depending on your goals and emissions restrictions.

Because people do not know how to spell kamikaze.

Carsound doesn't list a direst fit unit... only a universal model. That would require fabrication/welding?

Thanks for the help.

Just order one for a gsr or b16.

We chopped the collector on ours and made it a 3".....
