Wheels Rubbing??
I just got some 17 inch rims on my civic. A few months before I took apart the front of the car so I can clear out my headlights. The wheel well was never put back all the way so part of it sticks out. Anyhow, back to the rims. Everytime I drive and I make a left the weight goes on the left side I hear my tires rubbing the piece thats sticking out. When i got home today I checked it out and noticed that the rubbing is cuasing the platic well the slowly grind away. My question is.... what do I do inorder for the rubbing to stop? Is there a way you can take the plastic out? Is it safe? I need some major help so all answers will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks to everyone who replies!!
I got 17's on mine too. I just took the plastic trim right out. Problem #1: The intake hole is now exposed to mud, dirt, etc. Basically anything that the tire kicks up while going in reverse can go into my filter. Problem #2: It looks shitty when you have the wheels turned because you can see the inside of the front bumper. Solution: Seel your 17's to some homo and get 16's.
