half happy half sad...
lets hear the good news first: got my wheels and tires mounted today! and man, dem DUNLOP DIREZZA look sexy as hell! i like to thank NSXTASY for pointing me to the right direction. i broke it down to 2 brand models, the FM901 and DZ101 i was really pushing myself towards the FM901, even the salesman talked me into the DZ101 and i can't be happier. i love DUNLOPS!!!!!
thanks to Dustin and Hikaru from JLBMotorsports!!!!
now the bad news: two hours later i went back to discount tire it was done right on time i was too excited i even forgot my wheel boxes and didn't look at the rims and tires. when i got home and unloaded my wheels, i took them out one by one by myself. the first 3 wheels were perfect then the last wheel got some 3-4 in gash! pretty deep too! damn, i was so broken hearted.
what i like to know is have any of you experience this problem before? did they do it on purpose?

sure hope they don't do that **** on purpose dude. thats just stupid. i would go back to them and see if they would be willing to send the damaged rim in for refinishing at their cost. or atleast split the cost with you. anything at this point is better then nothing at all. good luck. pics!!!

if its more than one wheel i might take action. i was thinking about buying a color match permanent marker to fill up the gash. i been wanting to roll with new rims and tires for quite a long time and it would take up more time if i had them do that.
i will definately take pictures of the defective part.

You should make them pay for it one way or another. I would politely go talk to the manager and ask him what he's willing to do to make it up to you(like replacing or having it fixed). If they give you any **** turn them into the Better Business Burough, sue them for it, or bad mouth they're business and show pics of what they did (I know it sounds a little rediculous but this is a last resort).
I hope they fix it for you.

i used to work for a tire shop and we were mounting 20" lexani's on a dodge viper. we had three pry bars on it to mount the tires (35 series tires) and one slipped and gashed the rim. our shop owner bought a new rim from lexani.

Isnt that ******* revoltin!?!! Excuse my language...same thing happened to me when i got my ES100s mounted on my C8s. The rims came in a month late and gashed on one rim. I would have had to send it to Cali (i lived in MI) so i didnt send it back. Plus i was missing 2 center caps... to carbonfiberimage.com
