Default Sound deadening removal

Im starting to gut my integra and in the trunk area there is a few layers of thick black junk...
Whats the best way to remove this?
Ive heard heating it up with a propane torch and scrape it out...
I was wondering if aircraft remover would work?

that stuff is a pain in the ***!

I don't think chilling it will get you very far (unless you dry-ice it or something).
I'd go for a torch and then use a strong chemical (but not with the flammable remover )

go to a local auto body supply shop and get a chemical called "radacator" spray this on it and almost wipe it away

noooooo.... I've tried EVERYTHING and it's easiest to wait for a chilly night and go at it with some firends equipped with chisels and hammers. if it's not chilly enough, dry ice works. heat is a PAIN since it gets really gooey and leaves a sticky residue. good luck

i'm tellin ya, don't heat it up... it's just gonna make a mess.

go to the grocery store and get some dry ice. it's for sale somewhere near you, you just haven't realized it is my guess. it really is the best way aside from nature's cold.

use dry ice to freeze it and then chisel it out.. if you heat it up it'll just get soft and stick and cause a mess all over your tools and floor board.. I've seen people use both methods... never tried the radacator so that I cant comment on..
