Cool where do you work?
I searched too and found nothing. There is a big visual diffrence between the two so it shouldn't be hard to distinguish between the two.
good luck

Cool, no info on the YSK-3 Honda tranny. Well I bought my Integtra out in riverside, CA. The guy I baught it from said there was a type R transmission in the car. He wasn't sure if it was JDM or USDM but was sure it was a Type R. I WANT TO KNOW!! I dont beive anything uness its backed up by fact. If I dont have a type R tranny then I'm gonna sue is bottom!

From what Ive read SO far, I'm going to have to rip out the trans and count teeth on gears...

Most transmissions have ysk stamped on them it's in the casting it is not the transmission ID tag.

So far I've seen YSK-2 on gsr's and YSK-3 on LS trannys. I do think its an ID tag, its all consistent

Ysk is a Japanese company that made the castings. They also make wheel hubs for accord civic element and most larger SUVs. It stands for yanagawa seiki.
I used to work there.
