Default exhausts for lx

since there aren't any exhaust that i can find that fit my specific model, could i use a ex exhuast (direct bolt on), or do i have to replace the header, cat, downpipe, and exhaust at the same time?

if i do, i might get a custom exhaust done --> what price should i be looking at?

yes it will fit... there aren't many exhaust made for the lx/dx civics, mostly for ex's. imo buy a muffler and do custom piping(2 1/4). like many have said, bolt ons on our d17's really don't give us much of a gain. save your money and either turbo, kswap, or get a new car.

Why wont it? Maybe you are thinking of the extension pipe to run an EX exhaust on a LX/DX. As long as you get an exhaust for the specific trim model of your car it does not matter if its a coupe or sedan. Now you may want to get longer exhaust hangers (to make the muffler sit a bit lower) as the sedan does not have a notch on the rear bumper for the exahust.

i thought there was no difference piping length for coupe and sedan? I use to have a magnaflow and it was interchangeable between the coupes and sedans.

You are correct. My disagreement was with toyomatt84 who said that you need an "extension".

Hmm... then the company I went through for the World Sport 2 exhaust lied to me. I will remove my prior post.

If you are going to go custom, you need to go to a muffler or fabrication shop and have them fabricate an exhaust with the muffler of your choice. If you want a pre fabbed, application specific exhaust, Thermal makes a good exhaust for our cars.... It is a round tip design. As well as the World Sport 2 from APEXi...

Check out this FAQ thread for some ideas.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1759090
