Default i just did something very stupid (electrical)

So I was wiring up the jdm headlights today.. install went well and the wiring looked to be simple as well.

So I hooked up the low beams.. black to black red to red, and it worked.

Then my dumbass went on the right headlight and for some reason, I connected the REDS TO BLACKS.

So the positive end of the harness went to the negative end of the SAME harness.

I switched the light on and they didnt work.

Now they don't work at all.

I'm pretty sure I shorted something. But whattt??

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SIMPLE. -.-

Yeah I was really rushin to get it done so I could get to work on time haha.

I'll be sure to be more careful next time.

I did think to check the fuses at first.. but as I was pulling out the 20A headlight fuse in the underhood fuse block I DROPPED it and its somewhere in my engine bay now. I didn't even get a chance to check if it was busted. -.-

But I'll check out the other fuses tomorrow. There's a dedicated headlight fuse block for each side right?

BTW the JDM lights look so much better than USDM. The amber bumpers really set it off as well. Makes me wonder why the US market always get stuck with the uglier stuff for no apparent reason....

American DOT standards are not the same as Japanese or European standards

That's true...but why is it that way? I mean it's not as if the lights are different. They're pretty much the same.
