You go from the smaller stock 13x5's to 15x7's keeping the overall stock tire diameter? Basically the tire would be 2 inches wider and I'm wondering if this will cause more wear on the tires if I do not get them aligned. Or do I not have anything to worry about?

This has really intrigued me because I've heard it makes no difference, but then it is 2" bigger and handling characteristics of the car change too. It would be nice to have a final answer!

you shouldn't need an alignment if wheels and tires are the only things that changed. putting bigger or smaller wheels on a car does not affect the suspension itself. the differences you feel as a result of changing wheels and tires can be attributed to the weight of the wheels and the grip of the new tires. the camber and toe stay the same.
