Default tranny code

hey im about to replace my transmission and im wondering how to tell what car the transmission actually came out of. i did a search but didnt really find any good information. any help is appreciated.

Here is where you can find where the stamp is. The post I read said that it is above the slave cylinder. These are what the tranny codes mean.

the pic of where the stamp is supposed to be is actually a pic of a gutted car in that one thread and Im still not sure what will be stamped on the transmission that is supposedly from an 96-00 ex

I still don't see the tranny stamp pic.

I see a gutted car, as he does with...nothing about a tranny.

I never said there was a pic. Just an explanation as to where it is supposed to be.

And btw, the tranny code is K4f.

ok so i should look on this transmission above the slave cylinder to the right on that sticker/riveted tag for K4f (for a 96-00 ex)? just making sure, i want to be absolutely sure about what im getting.

No problem. Just searched for a little while and found it. The funny thing is, out of all the threads that came up, this is the only one that had the code for a '96-00 ex tranny. None of the other ones had any info on it.
