Default would closing the gap on spark plugs help with unburnt fuel?

i had high HC from emissions and im trying to figure out ways to lower them, any input is appreciated

If your trying to pass emissions, that usually means your CAT isn't functioning like its supposed to. As a quick fix to pass, use an adjustable FPR to lean you out a little bit.

Unburnt fuel... no. I would run the manu's spec.

Run injector cleaner through it. You might have one that is not squirting like it should be.
A tune-up could help Cap and rotor.. If you haven't done it in awhile.
O2 sensor, water temp sensor, intake air temp sensor. These might help.
I would start with an O2 sensor it is a one of the main sensor the computer uses to try and figure out the Air/Fuel ratios.

If these fail then a cat maybe next.. What was your O2 reading from the test?
