I recently swapped out the motor on my 97 EK Hatch with an LS out of a 99 Teg. We had to cut alot of wire but evrything has been working perfectly except for this I get Check engine light and code P0453 EVAP emissions pressure high. We turn the check engine light off but then a while later or the next day it comes back on. I read a site that talk about code 91 about the pressure in the fuel tank but this is different. Any help would greatly be apreciated. Thanks Alot

 

mine throws the same code its just because civics dont have that sensor that integras do in the fuel tank ( dont quote me on this but its what i heard. ) it runs fine though right?

But it will say EVAP emissions? Cuz it doesnt say code 91 or anything about the fuel tank, but I did try his trick with the 10 seconds and it did work yesterday, cuz it would have turned on already, and it didnt turn back on. I'm going to try it again and see what happens. Thanks for your info it was very helpful

Well I tried it again and my engine light came back on but the car was almost on "E" I heard it doesnt work when the fuel is low. I'm going to try it a couple more times, see what happens
