Course it depends on a million factors. But when i got my first ticket it took almost a year to catch up to me when the raised my premiums. Every company is going to be different.

Look in to driving ed to get ticket off DMV records.
You'll probably end up paying for the ticket and the class but it works in your favor
in the long run.

BTW did you tell the cop what you wrote ?
.. everyone is speeding.. so you know i gotta go just a little faster..
If yes, what was the cop's response ?

well, where i live in canada, your first minor ticket (the category which yours should fall under) is a free bee. after that you get penalized, good luck with the ticket.

Yeah, take it to court, they will at least knock the points down or the fine or something!! Good luck, I"m still trying to loose my 5pt ticket from 2 summers ago, and I don't think my turbo(ordering tomorrow finally!!!) will help matters.

yeah your insurance is going to go up.. but i dont know how much because we're in different states, diff ages, and theres too many factors... try to see if you can go to traffic school to wipe off your ticket or go to court and try to see if they'll drop the points and you just pay the fine or whatever see if you can get stuff reduced or hope the cop doesnt show up... damn I can only wish I'm stuck driving my dads car for a while Lolz... anyway good luck w/ your ticket/insurance..

Here's an idea.....
This always keeps points off yer license.....
Say the ticket is for $200, write a check for $210. The city will have to send you a check back for $10. Dont cash this return check. Points on a license aren't assesed until all financial transactions are cleared, but, when they look under the ticket record, it shows you paid, which you did. They cant bitch cause they got their money and you just Bitched the DMV. Dont ask me how i know this. I just know i have a clean driving record. Give it a shot.
We aren't dumb wrencheads like they think.

Go to court.

When I was 16 I got a ticket for doing 53 in a 35. Went to court, they sent me to traffic school and took the points off my liscence. Traffic school was two 3-hour sessions with a multiple-choice quiz at the end of the second one.

You'll have to pay the ticket and like 30 bucks for traffic school, but you'll have a clean record AND you'll get to say you've completed a "supplementary driver education" course which sometimes gets you an insurance discount.

Depends on your insurance company...

State Farm renews the policy every 6 months.. so EVERY 6 months they run a check on your record.. and ADJUST accordingly... some places only have time and resources to do it once a year...

depends... just get traffic school and remove them befor ethey find out.

i tried that "sending $10 extra" stuff.. it didnt work... I didn't qualify for traffic school since you can only go every 18 months or something in Cali and I already went for a previous ticket.. so I figured what the hell its only $10.. so I tried that on a ticket I got last year in Burbank, CA.. damn those cops are strict...

anyway they cashed my check and I have not seen any refund (to this day) for the $10 I paid extra.. I guess they took it as a contribution? AND I pay my insurance policy every 6 months.. so on my renewal in June 01 guess what?.. my insurance went up..talked to my agent after getting my renewal.. don't know about other states.. but in CA that sending $10 extra stuff doesnt work...

Dude, just get a lawyer rather than stressing over insurance rates and points on your license.
