Default Pre-amp input/output blue/white wire problems

Long title I know. I have no idea how to describe it otherwise.

Just bought a used amp and sub and hooked everything up. It worked fine and I was happy. I put my rear interior back in and a few wires probably got tossed around and now the amp is not working.

I checked over the amp and found the prong which the blue/white wire clicks onto was loose. After a couple jiggles it fell off completely.

I took the amp casing off and discovered that the prong is held in by two tiny little teeth and they're supposed to be soldered in but they weren't. I tried plugging it back in but it stayed loose and nothing works.

Does the blue/white wire determine if the amp is gonna turn on or not? Any other reason why I'm not getting power to the amp?

The remote turn-on is your blue/white, gives it 12v as an accesory. Check and see if your getting a constant(power wire), check your ground.

That prong is going to need to be soldered back onto the board.

I just got it resoldered and the amp tested and everything was good. I come home to install it and I get nothing.

I tested voltage on the blue wire going to the amp and its only reading .03 volts.

Is it possible the wire is shorted out? This is starting to get frustrating.

sound like the remote output from the head unit is bad. use the ignition or Acc. as the remote turn on for the amp. But to test is jump a wire from the power cable going to the amp to the remote turn on and see if it turns on.
