Default amp always on?

Hi guys. I recently put my subwoofer back into my car after about a year of being without it. Its a JL 10w7 with a JBL 600.1 amp. It is hooked to an Alpine 9857 hu. From the looks of it I have everything connected correctly but the light on the amp is on all the time, not matter if the hu is on or not. Is this supposed to be this way? I have the remote turn on connected to the blue/white wire of the hu harness which is supposed to be the remot wire. Could it be a bad ground, since thats the only thing i can come up with. Thanks.

thats what i thought too, but i checked the wiring diagram and it tells me that white/blue is the remote, unless im misreading it, which wouldnt be a surprise. ill look at it again, thanks.

Disconnect the amp control lead at the amp, if amp light goes out, pull the HU and see what you wired the amp control lead to, you are correct it should be the blue/white, [the blue is power ant.] 94
