Default checking tps voltage, do you have the leave the connector plugged in?

i read you have to leave the plug in and expose some of the wires, is this correct?

You can do all of the tests with the connector plugged in and back probe with a paper-clip that has been grinded on the grinding wheel or the like. You could just jam the meter probe in the TPS but it is not recommended. Why are you probing the TPS is it adjust the TPS idle value.
