adjusting TPS

Default adjusting TPS

well my question is how do i go about adjusting the TPS. its reading voltage too high so i guess its not adjusted right, but how do i adjust it. the car is a 93 cx with jdm b16 engine swap.

you have to notch the 2 headless screws with a dremel. remove the T/B first.

i know this, but how do you know when it is adjusted right? do you just keep checking the voltage as you move it until its right?

yup. stick a safety pin in the middle wire of the plug. test the voltage. it should read .05 @ idle and it should rise to 4v at WOT.

ok, mine reads 5 volts all the time, so i guess it does need adjusting. it thinks its at WOT all the time.

So then what your really saying is that 2 of the wires you measured had +5V on them, right? If this is the case, looks like your TPS took a dive.

If you only measured one wire however, you could have measured the supply voltage to the TPS, which is +5V.

i tried all three wires actually, i have another TB laying around so i'm going to switch them out and adjust the TPS to where it should be.
