light ticking noise
ok I have a 94 Civic sohc-T, there is this light ticking noise when I press the pedal, the harder i press the louder it gets it never gets really loud though, first thing i thought was valve tap but it does not do it at idel. It also had nothing to do with the RPMs its only when i have the pedal pressed somewhat hard. My friend told me it could be anm injector or the fuel rail, I wanted to see what some other people thought...

true you never know it could just be a nut loose somewhere.

bump. anything else?? I did the crew driver thing on the valve cover and he seemed fine, i know my car is old and its ganna make noise i was jst concerned it was valve tap or worse rod knock but I was told if it was rod knock id know right off the bat is this true is it a ver noticable noise?
A friend of mines girlfriend had the same problem on a celica she had once. We took it to a friend who adjusted the valves and the tick was still there. One week later she was rolling down the interstate when a rod went through the block. It sounded just like a valve tick and fooled every mechanic that looked at it. First have the valves checked, and if its not them, then time to rebuild the motor.
