I personally would suggest just buying a new Master Cylinder. PS. Macro is your friend.

easyer shifting, more consistence clutch pedal. the old master cylinder was leaking or letting air in..

yeah you'll definitely feel a big difference when something is not working after replacing..
but no point rebuilding it, when you can just buy a brand new one.
