name every single possible reason an axle seal will leak.
on my b16 jdm tranny the pass side axle seal drips every day little by little. ive replaced the seal 3 times now and it still leaks. ive also replaced the axle too. the seal sits in exactly how it should and it leaks from where the axle spins inside of it. not the out side at all.. i cannot figure this out . anyone know?
It could be the diff bearing going bad. I`ve seen it happen on an 03 accord v6. How much play is there if you grab the inner CV hub and wiggle it?

this happened to me before.
i bought a seal for a hydraulic tranny and put it into my cable tranny with 90-93 integra axles. the seals were meant to have the 94-00 axles in them but I put 90-93 axles in them and it leaked. i just had to go buy some 90-93 axle seals. when i installed the seals i made sure they were flush with the casing because you can push them in a little more but I don't think that's how they are suppose to go.

this is also to problem i have. finding the right seal. i went to about 6 diff auto stores and even the dealer and every seal i got for a 90-93 integra was different.. napa finally gave me one that fit so it should be the right one ?? what should i ask for exactly? i have a jdm sir crx b16 cable trans and im using 90-93 integra axles.. anyone have a part number or anyhing cause every store gives me a diff looking seal. and about installing them. i tried it both ways with no difference. are they supposed to sit flush with the outside of trans hole or sit in and rest against the back of the trans? cause either way it still leaked the same way
if they gave u the right seals it shouldnt leak. theres no way oil can pass through the proper seal unless you have a crack there or something. i wish i still had my receipt from napa i got mine from there too. it should be flush with the casing not in all the way or sticking out. make sure you have the metal spring band looking thing it tightens the seal against the axle. that part should go in towards the tranny.
ya i tried it both ways and it still leaks.. it only comes out of the part that touches the axle.. the outside of seal dont leak at all. i cant figure it out. if anyone know the part number or what seal exactly to ask for then let me know
