94 Hatch with b16 passenger side shaft inner joint problem
Call me late or behind the game but the problem my borthers 94 hatch is having is, the "PASSENGER" side innerjoint is popping out. Ok here it goes. B16 ( dunno what tranny series the car is in Hawaii-however it's hydraulic but the map sensor was not on the T/B like most OBD is was similar to the 1st gen b16, the motor was all grey plugs, intake manifold has programmed fuel injection written on the top- the tranny looked like the orginal with the motor) motor mounts he's using integra tranny mount, and both lower mounts, DEL SOL DOHC rear tranny bracket, stock SOHC upper motor mount, and SOHC engine mount. The motor came with an engine mount (the piece protruding the timing cover) that was angled more than your typical SOHC or GSR motor (it's very different compared to a 1st gen b16 engine mount as well). After he reseched the style of engine mount he found that the DEL SOL DOHC mounts matched. He's is currently using the engine mount from his SOHC motor which seemed to match a B series from a DC. and is mated to the stock motor mount. He is thinking about buying the motor mount from a DEL SOL DOHC to mate up to the engine mount that orginally came with the engine. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing but we're wondering if that mount is the problem or is it something else. Oh yeah the passenger side shaft is a new one. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

It's not the outer but the inner tripod joint, it keeps slipping out as if the axle is too short but the old CV shaft did the same thing. He's using Integra shafts

well, if it's a 1st gen motor, which it sounds like it is...he'll need prolly need custom axles.

Is he using an aftermarket LSD? I have the same problem with my 99 Civic Si. The spring clip could be the problem, but may also be the casing (wore-out groove fro the spring clip. Is he leaking fluid?
The motor is most probabally from a JDM 92-93 integra XSi. They were like first gen B16 motors but with the obd1 electrical system. I think that they may be 170 horse as well. I have only heard of a few of these on the net. I do not think that any Sir II, or usdm b16 motors came with the PGM-FI non-obd style intake manifold. In that case he would run into mount problems. He would need 99-00 si rear mount and bracket, as well as the mount.
Actually I don't know much about those motors or the mounts/axles you would need, so you can just forget everything I said. Sorry
