would that be a camber issue or a toe?
i would think toe would cause both sides to go out but maybe i'm wrong

If it's a camber issue it won't be noticable. Get an alignment and ZERO out the toe.

 

^do you get alignments regularly? if they are getting off.

then you might either have some worn bushings, or something isn't tight on your suspension

 

y dont u go get an alignment and find out

 

toe kills tires 10x more than camber will

If the tire wear is coming from the inside of the tire it is the camber. The toe usally messes up the whole tire and it gets really choppy. If i were you i would just get a full alinment its like 75 bucks unless you got the hook up

Yea, depending on how much negative / \ or possitive \ / to you have will effect which part of the tire gets work.

Negative camber and lots of negative (and or possitive) toe will deff dominate the inside of your tires. The camber isnt the bad part, the toe is what either makes your car plow / \ (- toe) or scoop/shovel \ / (+ toe)

The little diagrams i drew were assuming you were standing on your hood looking forward and down over your wheels.

actually zeroing out the toe is going to cause a problem. i think the factory setting are around 1.5 +or- .5 degrees . you need some toe zero will just eat up your tires

 

Care to elaborate aside from what the factory settings are?

the closer to zero (total toe) is good...i have stock civic settings in front of me, even though a different car, it still applies:

front: -0.12 - 0.12
total front toe: -0.24- 0.24

rear is less -0.04 - 0.08
total rear toe: -0.08 - 0.16

i ended up getting my fronts to -.02 and -.01 and my rears at .02 and .00,
resulting in total front at -0.03 and rear 0.02

you dont really need to toe them in unless you are racing and prefer a quicker turn in...close to zero as possible for street manners


camber is a preference also..running a little negative esp...up front will help out..think about when you romp on it your suspension lifts up front gaining positive, so adding some negative helps..i ended up setting my front on my car 3/10ths a degree less in the back than front...(only running 1 degree front) stock on the civic is -2.0 to 0 but several friends and myself agreed on -1 for the street after driving around with -2 for a week and havent noticed a difference...

actually you are VERY VERY WRONG!!

front is supposed to be within +- .08 degrees with total toe within .16 degrees up front

rear is 0 to .16 degrees each side with total rear toe at 0 to .32 degree.

a little far off from what you stated eh?

I work at a honda dealer and align honda cars all the time.
preludes are 0.00 in the front and 0.08 in the back if they are DEAD on

And to OP its def the toe..I have wayyy negative camber but my toe is aligned correctly and my tires are fine

yep. my rears were aligned to 0.05, fronts are 0.00

 

lol i wish i could get dead zero. i always have just a little, and its within honda specs so i just drive

 

I go threw a set of tires in about 3 months i lowered my car, lol my dumbass never got aligned yet but i always thought it was camber until now. im glad to know that it's toe and I probably won't have to get a camber kit. Im on tokico 5-way struts and ground control coil overs low as you can go in the front and equal in the rear, but it still has about an inch to go.
