I dont know who told you a stock header is better than aftermarket, specially SMSP or Mugen.

a stock header is going to be about the same as a cheap aftermarket header...you might gain 2-3 hp with a megan racing one...but with an smsp or rmf you are looking at 20hp or so...stock is not BETTER than a aftermarket one unless you go extremely cheap on it.

SMSP and Mugen are on two completely different levels. The Mugen header isn't nearly as good as SMSP or RMF. The Mugen header is basically what DC, Megan, and OBX coppied

that is true, you have to remember you get what you pay for, all of them are properly dynoed and they all do make better air flow, some more then others. Again its how much cash you are willing to spend and what your goal is.

The Mugen header really doesn't look like any of the others that you mentioned.

Ya, Megan is a copy of DC. Vibrant is a copy of MUGEN.
